The Oregon School District offers Child Development Screening for children who are at least 3 years old and who are Oregon School District residents. This screening is a optional and is provided free of charge.
The next screening time will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2024 and Friday, September 20, 2024.
Please complete the following steps to ensure you are set up for an appointment.
Schedule a time that works best for you to bring your child and stay on site for the duration of the screening. The screening takes approximately 60-90 minutes.
Fill out the Child Development Days Form will collect information about your child to ensure a smooth transition when you arrive at your appointment.
During this in-person screener your child will work with our staff in the areas of gross motor (big muscle movements like throwing and balancing), fine motor (smaller movements done with the hands and fingers), language and speech sound production, and pre-mathematics and pre-literacy skills. After your child completes the tasks, we will talk through everything we observed together with you.
