Homecoming is October 3 and we’re preparing for a fantastic week of activities. Homecoming is a beloved tradition in the OSD community where our spirit is on full display. Community members are invited to join us for the parade, football game, and community food drive to benefit the Oregon Area Food Pantry (OAFP).

Our most recent podcast episode of Inside the OSD features our own event organizers, including Student Council & FFA organizers, and parade coordinator, Angie Dunn.  Make sure to tune in for the rundown of events.  You can find Inside the OSD below or wherever you listen to podcasts.

Parade: Friday, October 3 - 1:30 p.m.

The Homecoming parade is taking a different route from previous years due to construction in the Village.  The parade will begin at Oregon High School and proceed West on Orchard Street.  From there we will turn left on Soden Avenue to Lincoln Street where we will turn right toward N. Main St. Then we will turn left on N. Main in front of the Oregon Manor and turn left on Janesville St. The parade will end at Janesville St. & Spring St.

Can't make it? No worries! OCA Media will be there to capture every moment: View Livestream Here

NOTE: Due to construction and high volumes of parade goers, we expect heavy traffic around Oregon High School on Friday.  The public is encouraged to find alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays.

Football Game:  Friday, October 3 - 7:00 p.m.

Athletic Game Expectation Reminders

It's up to all of us to work together to ensure all students, families, community members, and visitors have a safe safe and enjoyable experience at our athletic events. All students in grades 8 and under must attend with an adult responsible for their attendance:

  • Grades 6 and under: students must be accompanied by and sit with a parent, guardian,  or adult responsible for their attendance (this includes before, during, and after the event).
  • Grades 7-8:  Oregon Middle School (OMS) students attending football games may sit with their supervising adult OR in the OMS section, located in the south end zone. OMS students are required to be seated during the game and display respectful and appropriate behavior at all times.

Students not accompanied by an adult will not be admitted to the event. Students are encouraged to bring their school student ID and may be asked to present it at the entrance gate. Please take a moment to review all athletic expectations prior to the game.
